Objective – Project Glitch

Objective

The Glitch Project aims to foster meaningful conversations between students from different cultures, specifically Dutch and Indonesian, who share a rich and complex history. Through open dialogue and shared learning, students will explore each other’s cultures, perspectives on history, and global citizenship. This cross-cultural exchange promotes understanding, respect, and the development of a more comprehensive view of history.

Key Goals

Enhance English Language Skills: Improve communication in a global context.
Cultural Understanding & Respect: Gain insight into and appreciate the unique cultures of each group.
Broadening Historical Perspectives: Encourage critical thinking by exploring alternative historical narratives.
Historical Skills Development: Engage with authentic sources such as museum objects, archives, and historical texts to deepen historical knowledge.

”SMART Goal:
By the end of three years, at least 10 schools will collaborate through the Glitch format, creating an ongoing exchange of knowledge and discussion on culture and history between students in both countries.

Why Glitch?

The Glitch Project connects schools in the Netherlands and Indonesia, offering students a chance to discuss shared histories and cultural experiences. The project explores tangible and intangible aspects of history through engaging in-depth discussions, learning from archival sources, and creating a digital connection between the schools.
